The plants were specially selected and brought to Poland by the Embassy from the “Air so Pure” breeding company for the “Green and Light” („Zieleń i Światło”) conference, devoted to beneficial effects of plants and light on humans. The chosen specimen like: Spathiphyllum, Calathea and ferns – are those that are the most effective in moisturizing and purifying the air from various pollutants, dust and toxins. Bearing in mind that most of people spend 90% of their time indoor, where they are exposed to various harmful substances emitted from paints, carpets, office equipment, etc., the presence of plants in houses, offices and public buildings seems to be essential for our health and wellbeing. Plants have also two more advantages: they create natural sound barriers, and the green colour has a good effect on our mood and well-being.
His Excellency Mr. Ron van Dartel invited pupils to special lessons concerning the advantages of plants and care and handle tips. The lessons were led by Mrs. Agnieszka Żukowska, Chairman of the Agencja Promocji Zieleni (Agency of the Polish Nurserymen Association), and Mrs. Karolina Ładyżyńska-Skrzypek, Master Florist.
SIGMA International was responsible for the organization and media communication.
