FLOWER EXPO POLAND

The first edition of Flower Expo Poland will be held from 1st to 3rd of September 2016. It will be  dedicated to cut flowers and pot plants and will accompany the 24th edition of International Exhibition Green is Life. SIGMA International will be responsible for communication and media coverage of the event.

The new trade fair in Warsaw, Flower Expo Poland dedicated to cut flowers and pot plants has joined Green is Life – an exhibition of outdoor plants, perennials, horticulture, garden architecture and technology, which will take place in EXPO XXI Warsaw.  Over 60 international exhibitors from 10 countries from Europe, Asia, South America and Africa will be present at the new show . There has been an additional program established, which looks very promising. 3 days of floral shows will certainly attract florists and all flower lovers.  Traders and flower industry specialists will be able to participate in a number of seminars and lectures.

On Thursday, September 1st  2016, we will see the multi award-winning designer – Tomasz Max Kuczynski. Recently Tomasz has participated in the “Florint Europa Cup” Championship in Genoa (Italy), where he took the 4th place. On Friday, on the stage we will see: Jagoda Głowińska, Kinga Czekajewska and Iza Tkaczyk from the Polish Florist Association(SFP), supporting partner of the exhibition.  On Saturday (the last day of exhibition)  September 3rd , floral designer Laura Belabrovik from Belarus will amuse and inspire the audience with her artistic works. Between these presentations, Aafje Nijman of Bloomtube will present current floristic trends for the coming season autumn / winter 2016. Johan Martens – master of floristry from the Netherlands – will visualize Aafje’s theory with arrangements of cut flowers and pot plants. Beside those shows  the scene will also be given to students of Polish floristic schools: Postgraduate Studies FLORYSTYKA (FLORISTRY) (Department of Ornamental Plants of Agricultural University in Cracow), Kwitnące Horyzonty (Blooming Horizons), The floristic school of Małgorzata Niska, Postgraduate Studies Floristry – Art of Flower Arranging (Warsaw University of Agriculture).

Seminars

Seminars for professionals will be organized during the Green is Life and Flower Expo Poland fairs. One of the speakers will be Theo Tiegelaar from AgroFreshPark in Poland. He will give a lecture about the logistics and distribution in the horticultural industry. Robert Roodenburg from the Dutch Association of Wholesalers (VGB), will describe the IntoGreen project and highlight the role of plants inside buildings and their impact on the atmosphere of the interior.

Marc Eijsackers, managing director of the Flower Council of Holland, will share his knowledge about the results of recent research done in eight countries, based on segmentation of consumers. He will try to describe Polish consumers and their purchasing habits. During the next seminar Marc Eijsackers will discuss social media and their role in the horticultural sector. Last, but equally important speaker, Kees van Rijn (Bart Flowers), will share  information and  his experience concerning trade and business environment in Poland.

Flower Expo Poland is focused on cut flowers and pot plants, while Green is Life, organized by the Polish Nurserymen Association and Green Promotion Agency, is focused on outdoor plants, such as trees, bushes, perennials and on the green architecture. This year, Green is Life will be held for the 24th time. Last year, the exhibition brought together 263 exhibitors from 12 countries and was visited by 16 000 people.  Organizers of both events will benefit from each other’s knowledge, experience and network of business contacts.
